Laredo Theater Guild International’s “Class on Stage” series is intended as a four-year cycle of annual presentations of professional quality theatrical productions based upon literary works, classic or contemporary, specifically selected for their direct relevance each year for high school from 9th through to 12th grade.

The selection and timing of the “Class on Stage” series productions are selected in coordination with curriculum directors, administration and teachers from participating school districts toward direct relevance to their academic curricula.

The timing of the presentations is coordinated to offer the maximum opportunity for integration into the applicable English Language Arts studies, as well as to positively impact reading, writing, and comprehension of the content, as well as test results.

As part of the cooperative partnership, LTGI has offered special morning performances Free of Charge for participating schools, with a post-performance “Content Q&A Luncheon” at the TAMIU Student Center Ballroom, giving the students that attended the play an opportunity to directly question the actors and production team.

The expectation is that a student will complete his high school years having participated with us in the manner relevant to his curriculum each year from 9-12 grades.
