Kadence Cardenas is a third grade student from Trautman Elementary beginning her first year in theatre with LTGI. She has always had a passion for singing, acting, and dancing since she was two years old. She will be starring in her first lead role as “Matilda” and thanks her family and LTGI for the opportunity to participate in her first theatrical production.

Heidi Godinez is making her stage debut as Matilda with LTGI this summer! She loves to play tennis and write her own songs in her spare time. Her love for singing began at a very young age and only continues to grow throughout the years. She is eternally grateful for this opportunity and the new family that LTGI has provided for her. She would also like to thank her mom and grandma for always reminding her to strive for her dreams.

Alex Lopez is thrilled to return to the LTGI stage after appearing as Ursula in last summer’s The Little Mermaid.An alum of NYCDA in New York, He made his Off Broadway debut at the illustrious Theatre Row on 42nd St.In Laredo, Alex has performed with LTGI, LITE Productions, and Opera Workshop in over 26 shows. He’s honored to share the stage with his sister Mara Lopez and his Niece Melina Maldonado. He’d like to dedicate this show to the first person to put him on the stage, Mrs. Rosalinda Gonzalez.

Allie Howland (Miss Honey) has performed in previous LTGI productions, such as The Sound of Music (Louisa), Annie (Ronnie Boylan), Hairspray (Dynamite), Beauty and the Beast (Babette), In the Heights (Nina Rosario), Blithe Spirit (Mrs. Bradford), Lend Me a Tenor (Maggie), and Into the Woods (Cinderella). She also produced the LTGI production of Wit. Having a lifelong passion for the arts and our community, Allie serves on the Board of Directors for LTGI, the Laredo Cultural District, and The Boys & Girls Club of Laredo.

Ricardo Castillon is a high school art teacher and professional muralist from Laredo, Texas. Although he’s been happily involved in local community theatre productions since he was the size of our Matilda herself (Chef Louis in The Little Mermaid, LTGI’s “Frankenstein”, “Hamlet”, “Macbeth”, LLT’s “Incognito”, “Talk Radio”, “And Then There Were None”, “the Graduate”, puppet builder for “Hand to God”, puppets and set builder for “Into the Woods”, set and costume maker for “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”, co-director for LLT’s Dracula as well as Laredo Little Theatre board member), he is relatively new to actually having to sing in musicals. Ricardo would like to remind you to please keep supporting local talent because this community really is a gift.

Lisa Veronica Martinez started performing in 2009 after her grandma found an audition announcement in the newspaper for LTGI's The Wiz. She subsequently performed as an ensemble member in LTGI shows such as Annie, The Sound of Music, and Cinderella. More recently, you might've seen her as Lucinda in Into the Woods or Elizabeth Lavenza in Frankenstein. She would like to thank the members of the theatre community who have given her opportunities to grow as a performer, and of course, her family and friends for being endlessly supportive.

Adan Villarreal (Michael Wormwood) is a freshman at AHS Magnet. This is his 3rd production with LTGI. Previous productions include Mary Poppins (Michael Banks) and The Little Mermaid (Flounder). Adan thanks his family for their love and support, and the production team for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing cast.

James Matthew Peryam is excited to make his debut as Bruce in the LTGI’s production of Matilda the Musical. James is ten years old and enjoys reading, playing chess, singing with his honors choir, and doing gymnastics. He would like to thank his parents, family, teachers, and coaches for their support. James is having fun and is grateful for the opportunity to work among such a talented group of individuals.

Melina Lamar Maldonado is making her debut with LTGI in Matilda the Musical; although she has been on screen with Director Isaac Garza. Melina manages to act, play basketball and volleyball, while also having the top GPA in her class. Melina wanted to be an actress, but never thought she could do it, so getting the role of Lavender was the best opportunity ever.

Mara Lorena Lopez is returning to the stage after a 13-year hiatus. She is thrilled to be back and join her brother, stage veteran Alejandro X. Lopez, and her daughter, Melina Lamar Maldonado in this brilliant show. Mara would like to thank her parents, Armando X. and Mary Lou Lopez, for raising her and her brothers with such a deep appreciation of the arts.

Francisco R. Vera has enjoyed doing theater work in Laredo for the last six years by portraying various ensemble and supporting roles at Laredo College and for Laredo Theater Guild International. He has also been performing with the Laredo Philharmonic Chorale for the last couple of years. This will mark his second summer working with LTGI.

Gerardo “Ray” Cantu (Sergei/Ensemble/Props Assistant) This is Ray’s third on stage performance for LTGI including Frankenstein, and The Importance of Being Ernest. He has also performed in multiple Laredo Little Theatre productions; most recently Incognito. Other Credits: Hand to God (LTGI) Stage Manager. Ray is a Navy Veteran and works as the Air Traffic Control Manager at the Laredo International Airport. Ray would like to thank his father and late mother for introducing him to the world of theatre at such an early age.

Cynthia Jade Gutierrez (Acrobat/Ensemble). This marks Cynthia’s second summer musical with LTGI, the first being The Little Mermaid. She has also performed in several Laredo College Opera Musical Theatre productions, including: Company, The Magic Flute, Cannibal! The Musical and Trial By Jury.Cynthia has always had a love of music and performing and recently graduated with an AA in Vocal Performance. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support in every aspect of her life.

Jose is returning to the LTGI stage as Rudolpho in this year's summer musical MATILDA. You might notice him from previous seasons, most recently, Hedwig and the Angry iInch as Sergei and The Little Mermaid as Sebastian. This summer he is more than excited to share the stage once more with new faces and new talent that he is sure will blow you away. Jose would like to thank everyone involved, especially his friends, family, and the ever supportive community for such honor and opportunity.

Deborah Gallardo is excited to make her debut with LTGI as Doctor. She has previously performed in two productions, taking on multiple roles in Cyrano de Bergerac (Laredo College) and portraying Sarah in Company (Laredo College). With over 7 years of dance and theatre experience, Deborah looks forward to continuing her work with LTGI in future productions.

Cirian Martinez Tena is from Laredo, Tx. She’s 8 years old and is delighted to be a part of LTGI. This will be her first time performing in theater. Cirian loves to do gymnastics, dance, and sing. She attends Mary Help of Christians. She loves to spend time with her family. Cirian is a very confident, cheerful, and smart young girl.

Arturo Soto has performed with Flat b 5 School of Music in 2 recitals, The Christmas Cookie Contest, and The Color Debate: A Riotous Rendition. He is now a talented first-time performer with LTGI. Arturo recently graduated from 5th grade at Nye Elementary School, where he was a member of National Elementary Honor Society, Gifted and Talented, and A Honor Roll. Arturo cares for his family and friends.

Ricky Guerra, age 10, is thrilled to make his debut with LTGI in Matilda the Musical! A fan of LTGI since he was 3, Ricky fell in love with the spotlight after watching his idol, wrestler Shawn Michaels "The Heartbreak Kid.” Now, his dream of being on stage comes true by playing the role of Eric. When not acting, Ricky enjoys video games and reading. Ricky is excited to bring his passion and energy to the stage for the first time.

Barbara Garcia is a vibrant 9-year-old actress known for her enthusiasm and natural talent. She has shone in various school plays captivating audiences with her performances. Besides acting, Barbara enjoys dancing, singing, and reading adventure stories. Her dedication and infectious smile make her a joy to work with. With big dreams of starring in films and TV shows, she is committed to honing her craft and achieving her goals.

Minnah Sophia Mota (Hortencia) is delighted to make her debut on stage with the LTGI. Minnah is an incoming 4th grader and Cheerleader at Blessed Sacrament School and is a student with Dynamic Dance Studio where she practices Jazz, Ballet and Acro Dance since the age of 4. She is very grateful for this opportunity and wishes to dedicate this performance to her Awis, God and her family who love her unconditionally.

Lucca Garza Santos is excited by making his debut in Matilda the musical (LTGI). Thanks to his family (and most importantly his mom) he is entering the marvelous world of performing in theatre.

Emma L. Flores, a vibrant and talented upcoming 4th grader at San Isidro Elementary School, is thrilled for her theatre debut in "Matilda: The Musical." She is grateful for the support of her family, friends, and teachers as she takes on this new and exciting challenge.

Stella Alyssa Garcia will be performing in her first play, Matilda, with Laredo Guild Theatre International. Her passions in life include singing and dancing. Stella will be entering the 5th grade at United Day School this fall and is eager to pursue acting and future opportunities in association with LGTI.

Josue Ramos (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his LTGI debut. Josue has participated in UIL One Act Play as well as his church program plays. Some of Josue’s credits include: “the Marvelous Play Bill” (Chanfala) and “the Trial of Goldie Locks” (Clerk). Josue received the “Best Actor” award for the LISD UIL One Act Play in “the Marvelous Play Bill”. He also also received “Honorable-Mention All Start Cast” award for “the Trial of Goldie Locks”. Josue is currently a student at Christen Middle School and participates in football, basketball, UIL, Mariachi, and is also the school mascot.

Introducing Liana Sofia Sillas, the newest star of the Laredo Theatre Guild International ensemble. With a blend of raw talent and dedication, Liana brings a fresh look to the stage, with her debut performance in the current LTGI production, Matilda. From singing and dancing to comedic dialogue, Liana will deliver memorable moments that will linger long after the curtain falls. Get ready to be spellbound as Liana makes her mark in the theatrical world with passion, skill, and an undeniable zest for the stage.

This is Fernando’s first LTGI production as well as his return to the stage after a 5 year break. Fernando’s most recent performances include, Shipwrecked and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, both with Break A Leg Productions. Fernando is currently a senior English major at TAMIU and would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him throughout the years!

Cynthia Itzel Mata is an incoming Senior at United South High school. She comes back for her second show production with LTGI. First being part of LTGI's production of "The Little Mermaid" and now making a come-back for "Matilda". She is happy to be part of the production and gives a big thanks to her family and friends in support of her dreams on the big stage. Thank you!

Carisa Lamar Romo (Ensemble) is thrilled to return to the LTGI stage. Carisa last appeared with LTGI as Adella (The Little Mermaid). She has also performed with Laredo Little Theater (Mulan Jr, Mary Poppins Jr, and Frozen Jr.) Carisa is an incoming Freshman at St. Augustine High School. She is involved in National Honor Society, volleyball, tennis, and choir. She is endlessly thankful to her parents and brother for always supporting and encouraging her.

Addison Cavazos is extremely excited to be returning on stage for this summer's production of Matilda. Last summer she played the role of "Ariel" in LTGI's production of The Little Mermaid and she can't wait to perform on her second show. She is currently a student at Texas A&M International University working towards her degree in Biology. Addison would like to give a big thanks to her family and friends for pushing her to always reach for the stars!

Aurora M. Chapa (Ensemble) is ecstatic to be working with LTGI for a second summer! She made her debut last summer in The Little Mermaid as a dancer. She has also been a part of productions with Laredo College such as The Coyote in the Stream and Laredo Little Theatre with junior Broadway productions like Frozen Jr. and Mary Poppins Jr. Aurora is a graduate of TAMIU (‘22) with a BS in Biology and aspires to become a doctor. She would like to thank her mom, family, friends, and Godson Joseph for their everlasting support!

Damaris Guzman (Ensemble) Damaris has taken up several roles in past LTGI productions including Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Assistant Costumer, Set Design), The Little Mermaid (Costumer), Frankenstein (Assistant Director), and Hand to God (Director). She is on the board of Laredo Little Theatre and is eager to continue collaborating with her talented friends to create more theatre magic in Laredo. She is excited and grateful to join this fantastical magical cast on stage.

Rogelio Santiago Montoya (Ensemble) is a Music Education student at TAMIU. Some of the previous shows he has been part of this past year are "Company" (David) with the Laredo Opera Workshop and "Little Mermaid" (Ensemble) with LTGI. Rogelio is very grateful for the opportunity to come back to stage this summer in such an amazing show and talented cast. Rogelio thanks his friends, professors and family for supporting his love for performing.

Cruz Paredes (Ensemble). This is his second production with LTGI since his debut in LTGI’s “The Little Mermaid” last summer. Cruz has appeared in shows such as, “Mamma Mia!”, “Young Frankenstein”, “Que Plantón!” and “Tu Amor Secreto”. Cruz thanks his family and friends, especially his partner for all the support.

Raul Ramos (Ensemble) has performed with LTGI in two previous productions, including The Little Mermaid as Scuttle and Hand to God as Jason. Raul is currently a senior at TAMIU, pursuing a communications major with a minor in political science.

Regina Ramos (Ensemble) has previously performed in LTGI's production of The Little Mermaid. Regina is an incoming sophomore at Nixon and the Vidal M. Trevino School of Communication and Fine Arts, where she specializes in Choir.

Reme Laurize Ventenilla is an incoming senior at United South High School. “Matilda” is her first show production with LTGI and she is very excited and thankful to be a part of it. Reme offers her utmost gratitude towards her family, friends, and the whole production!

Bailee I. Garza is thrilled to make her first debut on the LTGI Stage. She is an incoming 8th grade student at Lamar Middle School. She has dedicated 5 years of All-Star Cheer at Karma Athletics. She has also participated in the M.B. Lamar One Act Play with Ms. Stephanie Solis Schnyder. Bailee wants to thank her choir teacher, coaches, family, and grandparents for their endless love and support.

This is Lucy Batey’s 2nd production in LTGI after previously being in The Little Mermaid. Lucy would like to thank her mom, Karol Batey, and her family for always pushing her to do the most she can and for always believing in her. She also thanks the production team for this fantastic experience and looks forward to do more.

Christopher Rodriguez (Ensemble) is beyond excited to be taking the stage with LTGI this summer in Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical. Some of Chris’ favorite musical theater credits include Sister Act (Pablo), R&H Cinderella (Ensemble), & Freaky Friday (Louis) The Theatre Company BCS. Chris is currently a student at Texas A&M University (College Station) majoring in Poultry Science with a focus in Nutrition. He would like to thank his family for their support as he goes on his journey to pursue musical theater. Enjoy the tale and remember, “Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty”.

My name is Marcelo Mireles and I am 11 years old. This is my first time in any theater production. I really enjoy singing and dancing. I hope this leads to other parts in other plays. Hope everyone enjoys the show!

Giada Garcia-Bernal is an incoming 8th-grade student at MB Lamar Middle School, embarking on her second production with LTGI and her first on-stage performance. Filled with excitement and gratitude, she eagerly embraces this opportunity.

Orlando Joel Valdez Romero, is a local artist excited to be in his first production with LTGI. Orlando has been in two other productions with LC playing characters such as Ligniere from Cyrano de Bergerac, and Larry from Company. He looks forward to working with everyone in LTGI and hopes be involved in many more productions in the future.
